Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 14, 2026
The short version
- You can use DinkNSync as a guest. Guest data stays on your device — nothing is sent to us.
- If you create an account, we store your email, an optional display name, and your gameplay data (players, matches, ratings) so it can be backed up and synced across your devices.
- We do not show ads, run analytics or tracking SDKs, sell your personal information, or share it for advertising.
- You can delete your account and all of its data at any time, from inside the app or by emailing us.
This Privacy Policy explains how Imagine Mobile, Inc. ("DinkNSync", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the DinkNSync mobile application and related services (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information. Your email address and, optionally, a display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and name from that provider. Apple offers a "Hide My Email" option, which we support — in that case we only ever see a relay address.
- Passwords. If you sign up with an email and password, the password is handled by our authentication provider and stored only as a salted hash. We never see, store, or have access to your actual password.
- Gameplay data. The players you create (the names you type), matches you record (scores, formats, dates, which players took part), your DinkNSync rating, and your in-app preferences.
- Support correspondence. If you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service — for example, the IP address and timestamps recorded by our backend provider when your device connects, and the app version and platform used to deliver the correct update.
What we do not collect
DinkNSync does not collect your precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, calendar, microphone or camera data, health data, payment information, or an advertising identifier. We do not use analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. How we use information
- To provide the App's features — scorekeeping, player records, statistics, ratings, and tournament discovery.
- To create, secure, and authenticate your account.
- To back up your data and synchronize it across your devices.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To keep the service secure, detect and prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the App and syncing your data | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Account security and abuse prevention | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Responding to support requests | Legitimate interests / performance of a contract |
| Meeting legal obligations | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
3. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that make the App work, and only as needed for them to perform that service. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for third-party advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
| Provider | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, and backend hosting | Account and gameplay data |
| Apple | App distribution; Sign in with Apple, if you use it | Authentication data only |
| App distribution; Google sign-in, if you use it | Authentication data only | |
| Expo (EAS) | App builds and over-the-air updates | App version and platform; no account data |
| Tournament listing sources | Public tournament information shown in the app | No personal information is sent |
We may also disclose information if we are required to by law or valid legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of our users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy or notify you before your information becomes subject to a different one.
4. Where your information is stored
Your account data is stored on cloud infrastructure operated by our backend provider, Supabase, in the United States. Access is protected by row-level security, which enforces at the database level that each account can read and write only its own rows.
If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data is kept for as long as your account exists.
- Deleted accounts are removed from our live systems immediately. Residual copies may persist in routine encrypted backups for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten. They are not accessible or restorable to your account during that window.
- Guest data never reaches us. It lives only on your device and is removed when you delete the App or clear its data.
- Support emails are kept for up to 24 months.
- We may retain limited records for longer where we are legally required to, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
6. Your choices and rights
Whoever and wherever you are, you can:
- See and edit your display name and your gameplay data in the App at any time.
- Delete everything — open Settings in the App and tap Delete account, or follow the instructions on our account deletion page.
- Use the App without an account by playing as a guest.
- Contact us at support@dinknsync.com with any privacy request.
EEA and UK residents
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
California residents
Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring an opt-out, so there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism to offer. The categories we collect are identifiers (email address, user ID), customer records (name), and your own user-generated content; we collect them for the business purposes described in section 2, from you directly. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
How to make a request
Email support@dinknsync.com from the address on your account. We will verify that the request comes from you and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 30 days, or 45 days in California). You may use an authorized agent where the law permits; we may ask for proof of their authority.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all communication between the App and our servers, encryption at rest for our database, row-level security policies that isolate each account's data, and hashed password storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact support@dinknsync.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. Third-party links
The App displays tournament listings and links out to third-party registration and organizer websites. Those sites are operated by others and governed by their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or practices — please review their policies before providing them with any information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date and, if the changes are material, notify you in the App or by email before they take effect.
