Delete your account
You can delete your DinkNSync account and everything stored with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 — in the app Fastest
- Open DinkNSync and make sure you're signed in.
- Tap the cloud icon in the top right of the Home screen to open Settings.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and all of its data are deleted right away, and the app returns to the welcome screen.
Option 2 — email us
If you can't get into the app, email us from the address on your account with the subject line "Delete my account".
We'll confirm the request comes from the account holder and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may reply to that address to verify the request before acting on it.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account and sign-in credentials — your email address, and the link to Apple or Google if you signed in with one of those
- Your display name and profile
- Every player you created
- Every match you recorded, including all scores, formats, and dates
- Your DinkNSync rating and its full history
This cannot be undone. We don't keep a copy you can restore from, and we can't recover your matches after deletion. If you want to keep your records, write them down before you delete.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Data on your own device. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers and clears the copy on the device you deleted it from. If you used DinkNSync on other devices, delete the app from those devices to remove their local copies too.
- Encrypted backups. Deleted records may remain in routine encrypted database backups for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten. They are not accessible or restorable to your account during that window.
- Records we're required to keep. If we must retain limited records to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce our agreements, we keep only what's necessary and only for as long as required.
Want to keep playing without an account?
DinkNSync works fully as a guest. If you'd rather stop using an account but keep using the app, sign out instead of deleting — your future matches stay on your device only, and nothing is sent to our servers.
